ABOUT US
The Tennis Club has grown rapidly over the past few years to become the biggest club on campus, with over 130 members! The club holds training sessions for players of all abilities every week during term time. Tennis boasts a variety of men’s, women’s and mixed teams competing against other universities in BUCS and clubs in local leagues. We also run regular internal tournaments and tennis ladder matches so everyone can get involved!
Off the court, the Tennis Club hosts weekly socials and organises other events such as Tour and charity events for all our members to enjoy. We were named Social Club of the Year 2010/11 and have been shortlisted for Club of the Year for the past two years at the annual Sports Awards!

The University of Essex Tennis Club is open to all students and staff at the advertised membership price below . Non-students and students at other institutions should contact the Sports and Societies Office (sportsandsocs@essex.ac.uk) for details on how to join. To sign up as a member of this club please ensure that you have first registered to www.essexstudent.com and click on the membership payment icon (add to basket) at the bottom of the page, then you can pay via Debit or Credit Card through the online payment system. Alternatively you can sign up as a member of this club by enquiring at the Students' Union Reception by providing your PRID number on your student card.
