University of Essex Archery Club (UeAC)

University of Essex Archery Club (UeAC) Archery is a sport which has seen a surge in popularity over the last ten years and University of Essex Archery Club reflects this, having grown in five years to the largest non-mainstream club on campus and winning Club of the Year in 2011. Achery provides a great chance to experience and partake in a unique alternative sport with a competitive and social environment that is both welcoming and engaging. We welcome people of all levels, from experienced to novices who will be given training and coaching from our experienced Senior teams. So come along, and give us a try!

The club will be competing in a variety of competitions that take place throughout the UK, including BUCS, the British University Team Challenge (BUTC) and the regional archery league for students (SEAL) as well as various open competitions throughout the year. Being in the club allows you to meet other archers from around the country, as the archery community is very open and friendly.

Being in UeAC is also a social experience; the club loves going to events and having a pint and a friendly talk at the SU Bar.

In the academic year 2010/2011 our club was awarded the title of Club of the Year out of all other clubs in the university for our professionalism, performance in BUCS, volunteering and social events. This year we aspire to maintain our high standards and always strive to better ourselves for the benefit of both our members and the University.
