This is Alt. This is Essex's University's Thursday nights in Level 2. This is the only place you're going to hear alternative anthems from across time and space on campus. This is free prize raffles allowing you to win awesome stuff and limited edition merchandise given away for free (some weeks*).
This is the warm welcoming of NME Radio DJ Chris Martin as new Alt resident, playing out the biggest Indie, Rock and alternative hits and classics, old and new. This is where The Big Lick Takeovers** give offerings to those who like their noise on the heavy side, serving up thick slices of Punk, Metal, Ska and a few surprises we're told. This is also local legend Sam Leppard bringing his uniquely cool Indie Disco vibe directly into Level 2. This is DJ support by Indiesoc and New Noise Society student DJs.
This is where the weekend starts a day early. This is where the music reigns supreme.
