Essex's biggest student venue, Sub Zero is an underground club that is recognised as one of the best student venues in the UK. After having a £1.25 million makeover in 2006, Sub Zero went on to win the prestigious Smirnoff BEDA award for best student club. With a huge 1200 person capacity, it is amazing this club is hidden under Square 3!
Sub Zero has a huge dancefloor and stage, with two bars and sanctuary style seating areas. It also boasts a dedicated outdoor smoking area, large cloakroom and wheelchair access throughout.
what makes it special
Apart from its regular weekly club nights, Sub Zero has hosted some truly amazing live acts from DJs to bands. These include Calvin Harris, Trevor Nelson, The King Blues, The Twang and The Holloways.
Sub Zero also has its very own cocktail bar, fully stocked and ready to mix you up something that is guaranteed to be very special.
