Kings of convenience
Living on a student budget can be tough enough, without having to trek into town every time you need a pint of milk. To make life easier the Students’ Union runs four shops on campus, saving you a journey and freeing up your time to spend it on more interesting things.
Here’s our guide to what’s on offer on campus:
Campus Shop (square 4)
Your own personal convenience store selling all your essentials, including lunchtime sandwiches, newspapers, magazines, toiletries, fruit and veg, frozen meals, mobile top-ups, cigarettes, beers, wines and spirits, and cash-back.
Union Shop (square 4, inside Post Office)
Get dressed for Uni life with our range of Essex branded clothing (including hoodies and t-shirts), and stock up on all your stationary essentials like pens, pads and folders.
Go Go Global! (square 3)
Campus’ very own international convenience store, selling food and ingredients from across the globe, including China, Japan, Korea, India, Poland, Greece, Mexico, Turkey, Africa and the Caribbean.
Post Office (square 4)
A dedicated Students’ Union Post Office making it easy for you to send parcels and letters, buy bus and train tickets, pay bills, exchange currency, and even book your holiday flights and accommodation!
Investing in students
Unlike the big supermarkets or shops, the Students’ Union is a not-for-profit organisation. Any profit made in our shops, bars or food outlets goes straight back into improving student life at Essex.
