The purpose of the role is to improve the professionalism of The Rabbit by providing stability, continuity, recruiting and nurturing talent, and ensuring the newspaper team works effectively and delivers high quality material to the student membership.

Overall responsibility for co-ordinating

1. To achieve all objectives agreed by the Media the production and delivery of The Rabbit within agreed timescales and budget.

2. Responsible for managing the Deputy Guild within the framework of the Service Level Agreement (SLA)

3. Editor and the Designer, ensuring they are appraised, trained and developed to deliver excellent quality material.

4. To research on an ongoing basis the student opinion of, and satisfaction with The Rabbit, reporting findings to the Media Guild Executive

5. To lead, inspire and coordinate a team ofsub editors and designers to deliver a high quality product in accordance with the SLA

6. To identify and assess opportunities for The Rabbit to utilise new methods or procedures to communicate effectively with the student membership.

7. Any other tasks as agreed by the Media Guild
