The University of Essex - RED Radio
about us
|
Student radio at Essex, under numerous names, has been in existence since 1971, so we’ve got loads for experience of producing great radio.
RED Radio is produced by students from a wide variety of backgrounds, for students in exactly the same position. Producing shows from debate to dance music and entertainment to eclectic mixes. There really is something for everyone.
We broadcast direct from our very own state-of-the-art(ish) studio at the Colchester campus, 7 days a week, 10am - 10pm.
Up until recently RED Radio could be heard locally in the Colchester area on 1404 AM/MW. However, with the ever changing advancements in technology, online streaming has taken over and RED is now solely broadcasted online to the entire world. So wherever in the world you may be, you can be sure to tune into RED Radio.
If you want to find out more about RED, have a look at our Radion Essex Wikipedia page also Wkipedia RED page showing the full history, from 1971 right up to the present day.
