representing you

The Students’ Union was set up by students more than 40 years ago to make sure that we all have a voice and that life at Essex is the best it could possibly be.
To this day, the Union is run by a group of twelve student officers so that it is always in touch with your feelings and understands your priorities.
Three sets of elections are held each year to decide which students run the Union, and everyone is able to have their say by voting online.
They are here to represent you on all levels and to help make your university life the best it can be.  They work full time, live on campus and get paid to be the voice of students. The Sabbs work with a team of permenant  staff who support them in delivering the best services possible for students.
The student exec are here to help you and stand up for you, so whatever’s on your mind you can get in touch with them at any time.
