Have you had an amazing lecturer that you think should be recognised? Want to thank that librarian who worked hard to find you that book for your coursework? Maybe you've had an awesome module that everyone should know about?

For the first time ever, Essex students will have chance to say thanks to the members of university staff who have been awesome. It can be anyone who you think deserves a pat on the back.

We have 5 categories to nominate staff in: Best Lecturer Award, Best Support Staff Award, Best Module Award, The Extra Mile Award and last but certainly not least, Course Rep of the Year Award.

The winners are then decided by a panel of students at the end of term. Everyone nominated will get a letter telling them that someone thinks they’re amazing at their job. It’s not about the amount of nominations someone gets, it’s about the quality of the nomination. So it's worth putting in as much detail as possible.

The shortlisted staff and students will then be invited to a suave fancy do at the end of term 3 where we will announce who has won. And if you nominate someone then you’ll be entered in to a prize draw for tickets, so you may actually be joining us as well if you’re lucky.
