The V-Oscars

The V-OSCARS are the annual volunteer awards where students come together to celebrate the successes of the year.

When are the awards?
The Date/Venue of the 2010 V-Oscars is Wednesday 9th June 2010

The awards are formal and attendance is by invite only, it will include free food and drink and will recognize the achievement of everyone who has volunteered this year in association with the V-Team. The evening will also look at volunteering at Essex University in the years to come and launch the new V-Team brand.

How do you get an award?
You can nominate yourself or someone else. All you need to do is download the nomination form and return it to vteam@essex.ac.uk by 5pm Friday 26th March 2010.

If you know of anyone who has shown real commitment, innovation or other exceptional execution of volunteering activities then please complete a nomination.

Nominations

We are looking for nominations for the following categories:

Community Volunteer of the Year
(Volunteers on community based projects)

Societies Volunteer of the Year
(Society members who have volunteered)

Sports Volunteer of the Year
(Sport clubs in schools/youth clubs)

Representative Volunteer of the Year
(Course Reps/Union Councillors/Faculty Convieners)

Volunteer Achievement of the Year
(Anyone who has shown a real commitment to volunteering individually or as a part of a wider project)

Support Volunteer of the Year
(Those volunteering in a support role
eg.Advice Centre, Essex Jets)

Project of the Year
(Any project that was developed/started)

Media Volunteer of the Year
(Those who volunteer in the media sector,eg. Rabbit,RED,SX TV)
