Hey guys!
My names Rich and I’m the President of the Students’ Union. That basically means I am your principle representative to the University, to the local community, and to whomever necessary to ensure you’re interests are heard. Regardless of whether you are at Colchester, Loughton or Southend, I’m here to get your views listened to!
This year your Students’ Union is changing, massively, which means it is the perfect time to get involved and have your say. Whether you’re interested in sports or cultural activities, in entertainments or the environment, the SU has something for you to get involved with!
I will be around all year, feel free to have a chat or a drink with me, I am always happy to hear what you have to say! It is my job to tell the University what you think, so be sure to tell me!

Degree Scheme: Politics and Human Rights
Age: 22
Hometown: Little Staughton, a small village in north Bedfordshire
Height: Well apparently I’ve shrunk, I’m sure the last time I got measured I was 5ft11, but just got measured again and I’ve shrunk an inch!!
Primary school uniform: Grey jumpers and black trousers, very dull. But Upper school was nice, green jumpers and golden yellow shirts.
Football team: Not really a football person, but when pushed will support Argentina
First record you brought: Genuinely no clue! Although do remember being brought Barbie Girl for a birthday :-S
Favourite Film(s): The Great Dictator, American Beauty, A Few Good Men
What super-power would you have?: Either flying or invisibility…classics!
What pets did you have as a kid?: Had numerous cats who were all tragically killed, but a dog Misty who survived the test of time until last summer, bless her cottons!
Brothers or Sisters?: Younger brother Tim, younger sister Judy and older sister Bryony.
Favourite vegetable, and why: Sweetcorn! Tastes great!
What colour is your bedroom at home?: Dark red and emerald green with a bit of beige splashed in.
Favourite university memory: Too many to be selective, but waterfights in the squares has to be in there, as does having a mini-picnic while watching cricket before racing Jack around the pitch and consequently laughing my head off.
First kiss: hehe, it was with a girl….nuff said.
