2013 SU General Elections

Your Students’ Union (SU) is here to make student life at Essex the best it can possibly be. The SU was set up by students and is run by a team of students that are elected each year. Any student can put themselves forward for election and, if they get enough votes, be given the opportunity to lead an exciting, dynamic organisation capable of achieving real change. So if you think you’ve got what it takes to push things forward and lead your SU, this is your big chance.

The SU is a democratic organisation that is led by students. The General Elections are when students put themselves forward in these elections to become an Executive Officer, Student Trustee or members of Union Council. Most students that put themselves forward for the General Elections have never done it before, so this guide has been designed to help make the process as simple as possible.

To nominate yourself, please complete our nomination form in the nominations guide.
