Moving and living off campus can be a stressful time for students, which is why the students union offers many services to make this transition and change as easy as possible.

 

Student Lets
If you are yet to move off campus or want to change to a different property student lets can help you find a property. Visit them on square 3 or click here for more information.

 

Student Advice Centre
Having trouble with your landlord? Unsure about bills? The advice centre offers advice on a wide range of housing issues, from how to get your deposit back (and about deposit protection schemes) to your rights and reponsibilities. Visit them on square 3 (next to lloyds bank) or see the above link for online housing advice.

housing workshops

If you're still hunting for the perfect house look out for the SU housing workshops and fairs. They will be advertised on the SU wall planners. These sessions will highlight what to look out for on housing contracts and help you get in touch with university accredited landlords.

student accommodation guide

If you're still unsure or worried, check out Directgovs comprehensive website that offers advice to students about renting private accommodation as well as problems that may arise during the tenancy.
