If you ever need to go to Colchester General Hospital or Walk in centre by bus take the number 65 (Highwoods) from the bus station.
student bus pass
'First' bus service offer annual buscards for students that allows unlimited travel within the Colchester area (Zone one) for just £139 a year. Go to the Post Office on campus to buy yours now! Make sure to bring your student card as proof. During the Freshers week, the Post Office offers bus passes and bus timetables on a stall outside on Square4.
train timetable
With North Station, Wivenhoe and The Hythe train stations so close to the university it is easy to get around and explore the local and further away areas. All stations have regular sevices to London Liverpool Street (which is only 50 minutes away), so i quick trip the capital couldn't be easy. To check the train timetables click

Colchester is an official cycling town, meaning there are lots of safe, designated cycle paths making it easy for you to comute around the town on bike. Check out
Cycle Colchester for the official routes. The university also offers many opportunities to buy and fix bikes with regular campus visits from Dr Bike.

fancy a trip to the beach?

Colchester has an array of beaches nearby including; Clacton-on-Sea, Frinton-on-Sea and Walton on the Naze. Trains run frequently The Hythe, Wivenhoe and North Station and is a very reasonable price (especially when you use group save). In addition there are hourly buses to Clacton (number 76) from right outside the university.
