Welcome, you have reached the Essex Economics Society space at the University of Essex!
Everyone is more than welcome to join. This year we will be offering a wide variety of events including a trip to Switzerland! We are have organised internship talks and post graduate talks and we are inviting other important entities to come to our campus and offer talks to those looking for a internships, graduate jobs or those who are looking to go into postgraduate studies. Also, we are looking into arranging seminars offered by the Department's staff on recent economical issues.
Following the success of the magazine last year, we will issue the magazine twice this year. Articles will be written by students for students with our first issue to be published at the end of the autumn term. If you wish to submit an article, please do not hesitate to contact (mskill@essex.ac.uk).
On the social side, we will be holding a reception party during freshers' week etc to create an active contact between the members. On an educational note, we will have a trip to the Warwick Economics Summit, debates, etc. We will hold our annual Christmas and Easter dinners with the students and the Department's staff. Finally, at the end of year we will have the traditional BBQ by the Park's lake.
