1. How do I set up a university sports club or society?

Societies start up form
Print and hand your completed form into the SU Reception.
You will then be contacted to advise whether your application has been approved.
2. Why do I have to pay £10 for sports federation insurance?
If you wish to join any university sports club, you are required to pay this one off annual fee which covers your insurance to play the sports. You are then an official member and are allowed to participate in league competitions with other universities
Insurance costs £10 for the year (One payment = insurance for all clubs)
3. What is the membership money that we pay used for?
The membership fee when you join a club or society is a one off annual payment. This money is used by your society or sports club to help pay for your sports kit, trips to league matches and social events.
4. What is the society guild?
Society Guild is a one off annual payment of £2 to join a university society. Once you have paid this, you can join any other societies for free.
