The University of Essex Dance Club offers 8 regular hours of dance in 6 styles every week!!
Joining SX DANCE will give you opportunities to go to a variety of competitions around the country, take part in many show cases throughout the year and also participate in the amazing annual show in Lakeside Theatre!! As well as being able to attend workshops given by professional dancers!!

Saturdays: in the drama room (square 4, 4SE entrance)

5-6 pm ______ MODERN/JAZZ
Classes are suitable for all levels and they are only £1.50 for MEMBERS and £3.00 for NON-MEMBERS!!
We ask that before you come to any of our classes that you are a member of sports fed- this is for insurance purposes- please do not come if you do not have one- you will be turned away. Please always come with your reg card or other form of ID with you.

Why should I join SX Dance??
Being a member of the Dance Club means that you will only pay a concessionary members rate for any lessons that you attend – that is just £1.50 a lesson instead of the £3 we charge to those who just have a sports fed membership. Thus if you think you're going to come to more than 6 classes in a year it'll probably be worth your while to join, as you'll make your joining fee back in savings.
Being a member also means that you can get involved in all of our events – the annual show, show cases, competitions, socials and other regular performances throughout the year.
Also we do as much charity work and fundraising as we can which is always fun to get involved in and we help raise money for different charities.

The Dance Club compete in various Regional and National competitions as well as University Competitions. The club is open to all students and staff at the advertised membership price below. Non-students and students at other institutions should contact the Sports and Societies Office (sportsandsocs@essex.ac.uk) for details on how to join.
To sign up as a member of this club please ensure that you have first registered to www.essexstudent.com and click on the membership payment icon (add to basket) at the bottom of the page, then you can pay via Debit or Credit Card through the online payment system. Alternatively you can sign up as a member of this club by enquiring at the Students' Union Reception by providing your PRID number on your student card.
