University of Essex Dance Club / 'SXD'!!
Why should I join SXDANCE?
SXD is a friendly sports club that welcomes anyone whether you are an experienced dancer or a complete beginner.
Joining SXD will give you the opportunity to try out loads of different styles, compete regularly around the country, take part in many show cases throughout the year and also participate in the amazing annual show in Lakeside Theatre!! ... As well as being able to attend workshops given by professional dancers!!
It is also a great way to make new friends and keep fit!
You can commit as much as you want, attending every class or coming along in your spare time just for fun!
EXCITING UPDATES:
This year we will be adding to our already fabulous choice of classes with BOLLYWOOD, LATIN & BALLROOM and POINTE BALLET :)
This year 'Old School' will not be a weekly class but more of a occassional workshop held in 'level 2'
We have won titles of :
'Best Overall Uni for Dance' Salou Tour for the 3rd year running!

Competition at 'Royal Holloway': 2nd place for Ballet & Contemporary
ALSO: performance in our very own on campus club 'SUBZERO' called 'The Jump Off' , a fundraising event allowed us to perform in Colchester Liquid last year and we performed at a football stadium in front of 6000 fans! :)

Classes are suitable for all levels and are only £1.50 for MEMBERS and £3.00 for NON-MEMBERS!

GET INVOLVED IN SOCIALS... Fundraisers --> cake sales in the squares to dance-athons which are always great fun!!
Nights Out/'Socials' --> pubbing, clubbing or chilling is a great way of getting to know everyone & making friends!!
