As the sun sets you’ll be treated to the very best in live entertainment across five separate tents, covering mainstream, international and alternative music.

This year’s live acts will dazzle the stage and be joined by some big names of our own, with DJ’s from all of your favourite nights out on campus spinning all of the big tunes that you love. 

As well as an incredible night of music there's an aray of other great entertainment including the fairground plus a range of festival style food and drinks.  Here are the acts that will be providing the soundtrack to one of the best nights out you’ll ever have....

The Wombats

One of the UK's most exciting live bands, The Wombats have had a massive influence on the music scene with their alternative charm crossing over into the charts to spawn a string of hits including 'Let’s Dance to Joy Division', 'Moving to New York', 'Kill the Director', and 'Backfire at the Disco'.  Their clear eye for the dance floor and a cheeky sense of humour makes them perfect for the main stage at this year's Summer Ball.

Wiley

Having already conquered the underground scene, last year was Wiley's moment to truly blow up, breaking through the charts with the number one hit single 'Wearing my Rolex' and the follow up 'Cash in my pocket'. Having previously teamed up with the likes of Dizzee Rascal and Kano, Wiley is now preparing to bring an urban edge to the Essex Summer Ball...

Ultrabeat (DJ Set)

Responsible for some of the best dance anthems the UK has produced in recent years, Ultrabeat will be hitting the main stage decks with everything from their classic “Pretty Green Eyes” to the latest “Discolights”.  Their mission is simple - to keep you dancing all through the night.

Knight of Leon - King of Leon (tribute act)

Kings of Leon tribute band, the Knights of Leon will bring the biggest hits from one of the world's most influential and exciting bands to the Summer Ball main stage, covering tracks off all four albums, from recent hits ‘Sex on Fire’ and ‘Use Somebody’, all the way through their back catalogue of modern classics like ‘King of the Rodeo’, ‘On Call’ and ‘Molly’s Chambers’.

 

Jilted Generation - Prodigy (tribute act)

This Prodigy tribute act has been earning rave reviews as they tear it up across the UK and Europe (including an amazing performance at Ministry of Sound) and are absolutely guaranteed to bring the noise.
