Terms & Conditions
This marketplace is maintained on behalf of the University of Essex Students' Union and is subject to the following terms & conditions:
1. Marketplace users should not interfere with the Essex Student website or the Marketplace feature
2. Users should not use profanities in their listings
3. Users should not post 'want ads' on the Marketplace
4. Sellers must only list actual items that are for sale
5. Sellers can list their item for any price they wish, but it is recommended to ask for a fair price, the point of this system is to encourage the sale of goods between students at fair prices
6. Sellers must add correct contact information for themselves, not anyone else
7. Sellers must include a realistic date at which the item will no longer be for sale, once the item has been sold, it is the seller's responsibility to delete the listing
8. The seller and buyer must arrange when and where the sale can be made face to face, it is not recommended to post the item or use any other method
9. Users must only contact sellers if they have a query about the item or if they wish to buy it
10. The Student's Union accepts no liability for any problems that may occur during a sale, the marketplace is a student to student feature, please adhere to the Terms and Conditions to ensure a problem-free sale
