The Students’ Union is here to help support almost every aspect of your life during your time at the University of Essex. The Union is a charitable organisation run by student officers that you elect.

What does the Students’ Union do?

The aim of the Students’ Union is to support and enhance the educational, social, cultural and recreational activities, and opportunities of students. The Union also provides a channel of communication for students with the University, NUS and other bodies in line with a set of guiding principles.

The work of the Students’ Union is governed by The Constitution, which you can view online here
