FAQ

You can do as much or as little as you want to, whether that’s an hour per term or seven days per week, we’ll do our best to find something to suit your needs

What sort of things can I do?
Almost anything!  There’s a huge range of volunteering opportunities listed on our website.  If you can’t find what you want there, or are looking for something a bit more unusual, contact us and we’ll try our best to find you a placement or even help you to set up your own volunteering project

I’ve found a volunteer opportunity I’d like to try, what do I do next?

Fill out an application form on-line or in the Vteam office and we’ll contact you with more details of the opportunity.

I’d like to volunteer but I don’t know what I’d like to do?
The best thing to do is to look at the volunteering opportunities and projects on the website or come in to the Vteam office and we’ll try and narrow down the search for you.

I can’t find anything I want to do?
If you’ve looked at the opportunities and still can’t find what you want , contact us and we’ll try to find something for you, or even help you to set up your own volunteering opportunity.

How long will it take for me to start volunteering?
Once we’ve received an application form from you we will process it as soon as possible; we aim to get back to you within a week.  Please be aware some organisations will require you to complete a criminal records check before starting to volunteer; this can take several weeks to be returned.

Do I have to be an undergraduate to volunteer?

Volunteering is for all students and staff at the University
