Project Leaders
If you have an idea for a project or would like to get involved with a particular project, as well as gain new skills and meet new people, why not think about becoming a Project Leader? All new Project Leader will get training before they start and (if applicable) have the opportunity to meet with the previous Leader to ask any questions and get some useful advice!
Project Leaders main responsibilities include:
• Being the first point of contact for the volunteers on their project
• Reporting the progress of the project, along with any problems to the Vteam staff/committee
• Gathering regular feedback from their volunteers
• Helping at events such as Freshers Fair, Student Volunteering week and other volunteering promotion events (Including Socials!)
• Maintaining an up to date list of the volunteers on the project
• Informing volunteers about important information, suchas CRB checks
• Preparing Handover notes, or attending a Handover meeting, at the end of the year to pass on their knowledge to the next Project Leader.
