COVID SAFE
COVID-19 STATEMENT
Here at your SU we have been working hard to ensure our venues and events are COVID secure. Below are the ways in which we are ensuring events can take place to ensure you have the best experience, while keeping our community safe
important update -15/10/2020: From 17/10/2020 you will not be able to attend our indoor events with anyone FROM outside your household, this is inline with changing government restrictions. your group may be asked to provide proof you share the same accomodation.
We have worked alongside local authorities and the University to ensure we have developed a suitable risk assessment for each venue and adapted our policies and procedures to reflect this.
Things we have put in place to help protect our members and staff:
We have increased our cleaning regimes to ensure surfaces and contact points are sanitised regularly.
We have implemented increased hand washing and hygiene measures.
We have asked our staff to wear face coverings at all times in customer facing role.
We have created staff bubbles to reduce contact time spent within our teams.
We have increased ventilation in our venues and offices to ensure there is a fresh air flow throughout.
We have implemented a new ordering app to reduce face to face contact time between our members and our venues team
We are using the NHS test and trace app and QR codes to ensure we can help slow the spread of the virus in our communities.
We have rearranged our venues to include screens and table plans to ensure we are following the 1 metre plus rule.
Some venues have been adapted to have a one way system.
Things we need you to help us with:
Please don’t attend any of our venues or events if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
Please sanitise your hands before entering any venue or event.
Please ensure you are wearing a face covering unless you are seated and eating or drinking.
Please download the NHS COVID-19 app and scan the QR code before you enter a venue. (
