Each year in February, students put themselves forward to run for a full-time, paid position as a Student Leader. They campaign for votes and every Essex student will have an equal chance to 'vote like a student' and choose who they want to be elected into each of the 6 roles. This is the SU Leadership Election.

ANDA-RALUCA SANDU

Your university, your voice through my voice, your choices, your changes. Choose wise, choose to be heard and understood. United we stand, together we win.

Hi,

My name is Raluca and I am in my final year studying psychology. I am friendly, open-minded and always eager to help people. I like challenging situations, I am a good and empathetic listener. During my university years I have been involved in many activities and I have tried my best to help everyone.

Thus, in the present I am a peer mentor, president of the romanian society, role which involves skills in event planning, creativity, innovation and working in collaboration with other cultural societies and societies in general.

Also, I am a catering assistant for essex food. This job got me closer to university's community and I learnt about student's needs and concerns.

Why should you vote for me?

This year I have been working closely to international students being the international representative in the parliament. And believe me, your voice and opinions really matter! I consider myself the right candidate for this position as I would like to be your friend if you are feeling lonely, be your voice when you feel concerned, be your shoulder when you cry, support you through though times and make changes together. I would like to have the opportunity to work on more international events, mixers and to help societies and not only in organisation.

One vote for me is one vote for you!
