Hi! My name is Anastasia but a lot of people know me as Newt.

I'm an international student from Russia and I study Biomedical Science. Even though STEM subjects have always been my passion (especially Chemistry!), I am keen on learning languages and cultures. I have been studying Japanese for one year now and every new chapter in my textbook makes me more and more curious. This academic year I wanted to gain enough experience in communication in English, so finally, I am brave enough to even participate in SU elections! 

Why am I a strong candidate for this position? This is my hobby! Since high school, I have been participating in tons of volunteering events and societies and I absolutely love being involved in it. When you enjoy what you do, you are always successful in it! Well, without support of others it can be hard sometimes. Help me become one of four international students representative and I will simply be doing my job there :)

I am always open to talk, and if you have any suggestions or you want to ask me something, contact me on Instagram! I will be happy to make new friends or listen to your incredible SU project idea. I will help you to be heard as much as I can help you with it. I would like to focus on passing students ideas and worries to the SU so they don't stay unnoticed. This is what being representative means to me.
