Our Managing Meetings session will help you chair a meeting with confidence and will cover both the admin and people sides of leading a meeting.
What will I learn?
- The role of the leader/ chair person
- What makes people hate a meeting
- How to keep control of the meeting and get things done
- Meeting Admin Including:
- How to set a good agenda
- What Minutes should look like
- Setting SMART Actions & getting stuff done
- How to confidently deal with difficult behaviour including:
- Good Body Language and Assertiveness Techniques
- Dealing with Wafflers, Moaners, Argument Starters, Topic Twisters and The Quiet Ones!
- Dealing with lateness, technology in meetings and sticking to times.
What will I do?
The session will draw upon your own experiences and other learners experiences and use discussions and activities to help you learn techniques to confidently lead a meeting. A short reflective statement after the session will also be completed to demonstrate what you have learned.
