About the campaign...
\n
\nEvery day Nurs ing Students deliver frontline care in hospitals\, clinics and communitie s. They do the same vital work as paid staff\, while racking up thousands of unpaid hours and paying for travel\, parking and meals - all while st ill covering tuition fees. It&rsquo\;s not fair. It&rsquo\;s not sustaina ble. And it&rsquo\;s pushing future nurses to the brink.

Placem ents are work\, and work deserves pay.

\nWhat we&rsquo\;r e fighting for:

1. Paid Placements
\nWe&r squo\;re pushing for all nursing and healthcare students to be paid for t heir placements. Because real work deserves real pay\, simple as that.

\n\n


\n2.  \;National Change
\nWe&rsqu o\;re backing the Royal College of Nursing&rsquo\;s call for a full revie w of healthcare student funding. The system&rsquo\;s broken and it&rsquo\ ;s time the Government fixed it.

\n\n


\n3. Local Actio n
\nWe&rsquo\;re acting now by being clear about the real c osts of healthcare courses\, including uniforms\, DBS checks\, transport and parking. We&rsquo\;re launching a \;second-hand uniform sale\, cr eating a \;pre-placement guide \;for HSC students\, and pushing f or better local support\, including lower travel costs\, more discounts a nd increased Hardship Loans
