\nThe Community Learning Project has a big impact on the community and has previously been given an award by Braintree District Council for two years in a row. Our volun teers work with elderly people\, adults who may have mild learning diffic ulties or perhaps had to quit school at an early age and are looking to i mprove their life. We work to give them tutoring in IT skills\, such as w riting emails\, looking up bus timetables\, using Google Maps\, and anyth ing else that helps them adapt easier to everyday life with technology. O ther than that\, we also help them with some arts and crafts\, and any ot her activities they might want to do on the day.

Comm unity Learning Project is for those who are truly looking to make a diffe rence in someone’s life. Over time\, students can see the regular attende es grow in confidence and become happier individuals. This project is for everyone\, but particularly for those that don’t shy away from a challen ge and who have a big heart.

Sessions run Saturdays 10am - 2:00pm includin g travel time. All the travel expenses are covered by VTeam.

Please note \;that\, after you regi ster\, the process of onboarding you to be ready to volunteer with the pr oject may \;take several days. This is because we'll need to reach ou t to you with our \;volunteering agreement\, which you will need to a ccept\, and a link to \;safeguarding training\, which you will need t o complete. We'd therefore suggest you register ASAP\, to be able to book yourself onto as many Community Learning Project sessions as possible :)
