ABOUT ELENA-MARIA DIRSTARU - ESSEX DOCFEST

“Essex DocFest is a festival for everyone. It demystifies documentary filmmaking and film festivals and encourages ‘outsider’ filmmakers to engage with the festival industry in new ways.”

Essex DocFest is a hybrid documentary film festival that centers emerging filmmakers and community-based documentary initiatives, with an equal focus on online and physical events. Its main aim is to make documentary more accessible, both for the audience and for filmmakers.
