WHAT YOU'LL DO. 
THE DAY TO DAY.

As Head of Radio, you will be responsible for coordinating the production of radio content (live and recorded) for Student Media within agreed timescales and budgets. You will build, lead, develop, motivate and inspire a team of student volunteers to create high quality radio content.

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate production, release and broadcast of radio content
  • Build and lead a team that runs a live radio station, a catch up service, and an instore radio station for The Store and The Extra Store
  • Provide support for all areas of production, including but not limited to producing, scriptwriting, editing, interviews
  • Nurture students and their projects to help them create high quality content
  • Ensure that all radio content is broadcast/published on schedule
  • Collaborate with heads of editorial and video to produce multimedia content
  • Coordinate Radio workshops
  • Adhere to all relevant media law (training will be provided)
