WHAT YOU'LL DO.
THE DAY TO DAY.
Reporting to the Bars and Catering General Manager you will be helping to build a strategy to grow the business across our Bars and Catering operations. Under your remit no two days will be the same.

Your Responsibilities
The things you'll be looking after
- Supporting the General Manager in ensuring all licenced venues comply fully with licensing legislation at all times.
- Managing all front and back of house operations in all venues, ensuring relevant procedures are followed.
- Responsible for ensuring the delivery of top quality service to all customers.
- Ensuring that any Event led sessions are organised and promoted.
- Carrying out daily, weekly and monthly cash and stock control procedures and reporting findings in a timely manner.
- Supporting in the delivery of vibrant and exciting catering menus and drinks offerings within your areas.
- Checking that the venues are marketed and ensuring that all events are promoted.
- Help Deliver Net Promotor Scores (NPS) scored in line with Annual targets.
- Supporting the General Manager in ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety legislation are met, i.e. risk assessments, fire safety, COSHH etc.
- Supervise, support and motivate Senior Supervisors and student staff, including training, appraisal and performance management.
- Ensuring manager deliver accurate and timely rostering and submission of student staff wages.
- Build positive relationships with external colleagues, i.e. University Security Staff.
- Line Manage Door staff working in venues under your control.
- Attend any training, meetings or events relevant to the role.
- To support with the delivery of a vibrant program of events and sessions in the Bar areas.
- Input to the planning and delivery of a 3000 Capacity Summer Ball and overseeing the Bar and Catering elements of the event.
- Develop and manage a team of permanent staff.
- Work additional hours as required to deliver a factastic Freshers Fortnight and Summer Ball.
- To be the agent of continuous development within the operation.
- To support the late night venues when required.
- Undertake regular and appropriate CPD activities.
- Provide effective support, appraisal, development and performance management for all members of the HR team.
- Ensure that all records and/or personal information are in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.
- All Staff are expected to display a 'can do, hands on attitude' and participate in SU wide projects such as Elections, Summer Ball, Welcome Week, Exams Campaign throughout the year to support the achievement of organisational targets.
