WHAT YOU'LL DO. 
THE DAY TO DAY.

Reporting to the Deputy Operations Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operation of any of the SU's licensed venues and will take on additional responsibilities across all venues to help ensure that we are able to offer the best experience for our Students. You will be ensuring that standards are maintained and that customer needs are met. You will be expected to work regular late nights and weekends in line with venue opening times.

Your Responsibilities

The things you'll be looking after

  • Ensure excellent customer service and quality standards are delivered and maintained throughout the SU Venues
  • Help to deliver an NPS score in line with Union targets across all venues and produce plans to help Venues achieve a world class NPS score
  • Ensure that Venues are maintained and kept at a high standard
  • Continue to meet and exceed membership and visitor expectations
  • Work with the HR department and Venues Manager to deliver Student Staff Training programs that are consistent across all venues
  • Prepare the Venues for opening times, including health and safety checks
  • Cashing up and reconciling tills at the end of each shift
  • Supervise the appropriate selling of alcohol 
  • Ensure on a daily bais that staff deployment is appropriate and support Manager by completing payroll subissions
  • Investigate and monitor stock or cash variances as and when required
  • Ensure that financial targets are monitored and met
  • Take on additional responsibilities in line with the position where required and be flexible to changes in working patterns across the academic year
  • Take responsibility for stock control and completing line chekcs on a regular basis
  • Regularly review the product lines across all venues and feedback recommendations for change to the Operations Manager
  • Working with the Cellar and Stock Controller on regular stock takes and line checks
  • Work alongside Chefs to ensure that kitchen standards are delivered and Health and Safety regulations are met
  • Take on responsibility for maintenance of TCP/Epos systems with regards to setting prices for sessions
  • Ensure your Venue(s) are delivering the budgeted GP on products
  • Ensure that Health and Safety regulations are met at all times, recording and reporting accidents and incidents
  • Undertake all aspects of staff supervision, including on the job coaching and training
  • Provide information as requested to evaluate customer trends, profiles and requirements
  • Work on relevant projects as required
  • All staff will be expected to participate in Union wide projects such as Elections, Summer Ball and Freshers activities throughout the year

You will need...

COORDINATOR SPEC

Essential Desirable

Excellent organisational and administrative skills

 

Evidence of previous experience working in a related field

 

Able to evidence delivery of an excellent customer service to a wide range of stakeholders

 

Ability to display tact and diplomacy

 

Ability to work proactively to meet organisational targets

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

 

Excellent interpersonal skills


Working knowledge of MS Office

 

Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

Holds a Personal License (or is able to undertake and pass)

 
Experience of Stock Management including use of back office stock management programs  
Demonstrate shift management experience in a busy licensed venue  
Good organisational and events management skills and ability to prioritise own workload  
Evidence of successfully recruiting, training and motivating teams of staff  
Experience of maintaining an EPOS system
