Who we work with
Throughout the years we've built a number of relationships with local charities, NGO's and schools. We run a lot of different initiatives – from one-off projects that make our community sparkle and shine to ongoing projects that contribute something fulfilling to children and local residents.

CHARITIES

age uk
Our volunteers visit Age UK on a weekly basis during their coffee afternoons and spend time with people that use charity services. We've also helped them with an office move and in return, they taught us how to knit!

Colchester Zoo
Our volunteers help visitors of Colchester Zoo to have the most memorable time whilst not only watching animals but enjoying some interactive games too!

essex integration
Our partner since 2013, our weekly sessions are delivered by a group of keen and committed volunteers that help local refugees settle into community.

Brightside
Our volunteers are ready to become online mentors supporting young people to achieve their aims. Trained mentors are connected with young people who are exploring options for their future.

EMMAUS
Placement-Volunteers help EMMAUS organization increase its network range by doing research and communicating with potential partners.

FANs
Our partner who connects us with other charities. Hand to hand with FANs we increase awareness of community and help with a lot of projects!

First stop centre
Our placement volunteer successfully completed her placement and next year she is coming back with a new regular project - 'Lend a Hand'.

4YOUth brightlingsea
We currently helping out with some painting and decoration but placements are ready to go too! If you like working with children, you should have a look at this.

The Haven
We have painted a fantastic logo on their wall and are now looking forward to have some regular projects.

TCV
Together with TCV we have carried out a lot of one-off projects - fresh air was our friend during these nature activities!

MIND
We had some one-off projects this term and we are waiting to launch more next year - lots is being done to help people with mental health illnesses.

COMMunity 360
A thriving partner which inspires local communities. Our volunteers help them by assisting in finance and administration sections.

COLCHESTER TOY LIBRARY
Colchester Toy Library recently moved their premises and we helped them sort the toys and games so that when spring starts, families can easily access the resources at Prettygate Library.

GREENSTEAD LIBRARY
Lined up for 2017 with Greenstead Library, we will repaint the children's library during Student Volunteering Week and also kick off the Coding Club sessions on Saturday.

FRENCH'S EQUINE REHABILITATION CENTRE
A sanctuary for horses, ponies and donkeys, French's centre has partnered with us for Student Volunteering Week 2017. Our volunteers go out regularly and help out at the farm!

COLCHESTER FOODBANK
Another year, another succesful collaboration with the local Foodbank throughout December. We collected more than 300kg of products on campus, and prepared the seasonal packages.

lepra
We will be launching a number of placements from next academic year. Students will be able to develop financial, economic, research, admin, HR and many other skills which will boost their CV!
SCHOOLS

iceni academy
We've worked with Iceni Academy over the years and delivered hundreds of sessions - Origami, Art Club, Allotment, Global Voices, Einstein and a few one-off assemblies.

braiswick primary school
One of the newest schools in Colchester and we are proud to say we've been there from pretty much Day1. Braiswick is a home to few of our projects - Art Club, Einstein and more!

brinkley grove primary school
Home to projects like Origami and Photography, all the fun and creative stuff!

CHERRY TREE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Einstein is always a hit at this school and we are looking forward to setting up even more projects in this schools in the upcoming years.

colne community college
Home to our newly funded project - Lingo. Working closely with teachers to assist during their Spanish, French and German lessons.

elmstead primary school
One of the oldest partners and our volunteers love running session at Elmstead School, anything from Origami to Money Mind.

HAZELMERE INFANT SCHOOL
One of the closest schools to campus and we love working with their pupils. Our Time Travellers and Global Voices projects have found a home at Hazelmere Infant School this year.

PHILIP MORANT SCHOOL
We are working closely with Philip Morant to set up an Online Mentoring project for their VI Form Students. Online Mentoring is accessible and flexible and enables more people to partake.

ST JOHNS CHURCH OF ENGLAND
Our weekly Photography sessions are a great hit at this school and every year we have more and more volunteers taking part in the projects at this school.

ST OSYTH SCHOOL
One of our new partners for 2016/2017, we look forward to making this a strong parnership and offering even more support for St Osyth pupils.

STANWAY FIVEWAYS PRIMARY SCHOOL
This year we are running weekly Allotment Sessions and in the past we ran assemblies to help raise cultural awareness.

MISTLEY NORMAN CHURCH OF ENGLAND SCHOOL
Our first try of running projects in Clacton and it's a huge success, volunteers love it, pupils love it. All around joy!

WILLOWBROOK PRIMARY SCHOOL
We love running a wide range of projects at Willowbrook School, one of our newer partners but we always look forward to coming back.

WIVENHOE PARK DAY NURSERY
Our smallest customers! Our weekly Allotment & Art Club sessions bring a lot of joy to our Wivenhoe Park Nursery residents.
