I'm JOAR BLUME-ROBERTSSON, and I'm your
Vice President of Student Experience!

About Me

Hello members of the Student Union! My name Joar (pronounce that however sounds right to you smiley) and I am your 2023/2024 VP Student Experience. I will be making sure that all of you come to university leaving with an abundance of memories and not just your diploma.  

I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Politics and International Relations. However, during my time here I have had the opportunity to take part and develop my interest in societies as well as sport. Some of my favourite things and hobbies are football (COYI), snowboarding, cooking, fashion. But above all I absolutely love meeting new people from all walks of life. If you spot me on campus, please do not be shy and come talk to me whether that is at milk it or at the gym.   

Now my mission is to make sure that like me, all of you experience the best Essex has to offer. Whether that be taking part in the blades, making new friends in societies, helping with the VTeam or finishing a long day in the bustling environment of Sub Zero.
