We fly every week-end!
• The Club provides you with all the necessary equipment.
• There is no need to have flown before or to have any previous experience.
• Check out the pictures, the club has both double-seat and single-seat gliders. Our instructors will teach you everything from driving a tractor to controlling a plane.
• We fly from Wattisham Airfield which is a 45min drive from the University and we will take you there ourselves.
• Each flight only costs £5 and lasts for a duration of 5-10mins.

The Gliding club is open to all students and staff at the advertised membership price below . Non-students and students at other institutions should contact the Sports and Societies Office (sportsandsocs@essex.ac.uk) for details on how to join.
To sign up as a member of this club please ensure that you have first registered to www.essexstudent.com and click on the membership payment icon (add to basket) at the bottom of the page, then you can pay via Debit or Credit Card through the online payment system. Alternatively you can sign up as a member of this club by enquiring at the Students' Union Reception by providing your PRID number on your student card.
