The football club currently has 7 teams which compete in the British Universities and College Sport (BUCS) football leagues. On a Saturday, our 1st and 2nd teams compete in the Essex and Suffolk Border League whilst the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th team compete in the Colchester and East Essex Football League (CEEFL).
Training takes place twice a week on a Monday and Thursday at 5pm until 7pm on the astro-turf pitch which is near the sports centre. Training is compulsory for those wishing to play...”No Train, No Play”!
Fresher’s Come and Try Sessions: There will be 4 come and try sessions during Fresher’s Week and everyone is welcome to come and have a go. They are taking place on Tuesday 6th, Thursday 8th, Friday 9th and Sunday 11th from 12pm to 2pm on the fields near the Sports Centre.

Come find the football club stall located in Square 4 on the Saturday of Fresher’s Week and come talk to a few of the guys and decide whether we are the club for you.

Fresher’s Barbecue
On Sunday 11th October the football club have organised a barbecue for the whole club, especially fresher’s, to join in and get involved with the club. It will start around 6pm to give you a chance to shower and get ready after the come and try session. All are welcome and it will be a great chance to get to know who is who in the club before the season kicks off on the Wednesday 14th!
Pub Golf- Pro’s and Amateur’s
The first sports fed of the year will be a great chance for the football club to go out together and have a great time. The theme is pub golf, so get the golf gear ready and meet at the SU at 7pm! Let’s set the tone for the year with this social and celebrate the first round of BUCS fixtures in style. We will visit the pubs in Wivenhoe before returning to campus for the Sports and Socs Ball (so make sure you have your ticket before you leave!)
