UERC welcomes rowers of all abilities from complete novices to skilled oarsmen. Here is a rough outline of our performance team's training schedule to give you an idea of what we do, however don't be scared off by this - if you just want to row at weekends, that's fine, we will put together a program that is best for you!
Monday 1800hrs - 1900hrs: Circuits - University of Essex Sports Hall, courts 4&5
Tuesday 1800hrs-2000hrs: Weights / Fitness - Universiy of Essex Sports Hall, Gym suite
Wednesday 1300hrs - 1700hrs: (daylight permitting): Water training - Ardleigh Reservoir
Thursday 1800hrs - 2000hrs: Weights / Fitness - University of Essex Sports Hall, Gym Suite
Saturday 0800hrs - 1200hrs: Water training - Ardleigh Reservoir
Sunday 0800hrs - 1200hrs: Water training - Ardleigh Reservoir

The post code for our training lake is CO7 7PT which can be used to generate a map from maps.google.com. Ardleigh Reservoir is about a 20 minute bike ride or 5 minute car journey from Wivenhoe Park.

Sports Federation (you have to be a member of the Sports Federation to be a member of any University club or society): £10
