Our team last year at Derby Day against UEA (University of East Anglia). We were one of the few clubs where both the women's and the men's team managed to beat UEA!!
This year we're in the top BUCS league and will be playing mostly weekend matches.
Matches, friendly matches, trainings, mixed weekend sessions, and of course SOCIALS are just some of the things we do to make sure that our members have fun, get to know each other and get to enjoy some good volleyball :)

The Volleyball club has a men’s and women’s team competing in the British University Sports Association competition (BUSA). The club participates in internal competitions and friendly matches in the local area.
1) To be able to join the club and play on the teams you must become a member of the University or be a student at the university (Non-students Essex University students should contact the Sports and Societies office for details on how to gain membership EMAIL: sportsandsocs@essex.ac.uk)
2) The next step is to purchase your Volleyball membership of £10 which is valid for a whole year! To purchase a University of Essex Volleyball Club membership click on ‘add to basket’ before paying using a Credit or Debit card. Alternatively, you can purchase at the Student’s Union Reception with your student PRID number.
3) The next step is to start training! The club also uses a termly session fee which is usually between £10-15 depending on equipment purchased or tournaments attended but it is kept as low as possible to save money for parties!
