The BAME students' network

The Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Students' Network brings together all students from a BAME background.

We are a support network and social group that aims to:

  • Combat racism and discrimination
  • Raise awareness of the issues that BAME students face, and their contribution to the University and wider society
  • Provide a safe-space environment
  • Organise events that are tailored to the needs and tastes of BAME students
  • Help tackle and improve BAME students attainment gap

Hi, I'm Vimbai. I'm part of the Jesus Alive Fellowship, and an Essex Pole Dance Member.

My plans for the year include improving careers opportunities for BAME students across multiple subjects and collaborating with societies and sabbatical officers to ensure that students have a safe and enjoyable time at university.
