The BAME students' network

The Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Students' Network brings together all students from a BAME background.

We are a support network and social group that aims to:

  • Combat racism and discrimination
  • Raise awareness of the issues that BAME students face, and their contribution to the University and wider society
  • Provide a safe-space environment
  • Organise events that are tailored to the needs and tastes of BAME students
  • Help tackle and improve BAME students attainment gap

Hi, I'm Leshandra. I'm a member of the Human Rights society, and the Cheerleading and Squash sports clubs.

My plans for the year include raising awareness for mental health issues within the BAME Community and working towards minimising the BAME Attainment Gap.
