Not all SU's are alike. We don't ask our Leadership candidates to produce a traditional manifesto, instead we ask our students what they want the SU to focus on in the upcoming year and then ask the candidates to show why they would be the best person to make it happen.
The candidates are shown below
Its up to you to use this information to decide who would be the best person to lead the SU next year
Are you a student at the University of Essex? Then yes you can vote.
Some of the positions can only be voted on by those they are applicable to. In the same way that a Brazilian national is not able to vote in the UK general election, someone who is not Black cannot vote for the Black Officer role. If there is a role you believe you should be able to vote for, but can't, you will need to self-define.
RON (re-open nominations) is a candidate option across all roles.
All candidates running in this election are bound by the Election Rules.

I believe wholeheartedly in the strength, love, and humanity of our community. I hope to contribute to showing the importance of the queer visibility and unity that shines at Essex.
