Officer Report

VP Services & communication

Hi everyone, Tanki here and this is my officer report for February!

I feel I say that every month but god the time flies. There we are already 7 months. As time goes, I feel I’m growing in this role. My understanding of what is the best route to make sure that projects we are working on are successful and how to contact the relevant people.

And it is that time of the year again! We finally have our new executive team. I want to congratulate Adam Pardy, Matei Parascan and Joe Stringer for how much effort they’ve put in the race, how interesting each of their campaign was and that I wish them all the best for the future. Finally I want to congratulate Nana Dompre-Sekyi for becoming our VP Services and Communications for the year 2018-2019. I wish you all the best and I’m looking forward to work with you.

Furthermore, I am very pleased to announce that I have been elected President of our Students’ Union for the year 2018-2019.

Welcome to Mental Wellbeing

One of the projects we have worked a lot this month was around our Mental wellbeing campaign. Through a survey and videos, the idea was to raise the awareness of wellbeing but also collect student Feedbacks and see how we can work to improve the services we offer on our campus.

Societies and Sports awards

I am very pleased to announce that I have secured increased perk for our Societies and Sports. Societies of the week executive team will get either free entry to SubZero or Cine10 whilst the Sport team of the week will get free entry to Fed. Furthermore, Socs members get 10% off on food in Mondos on Wednesday from 12-5 whilst Sport Teams members get 15% off breakfast on Thursday which has been in place for longer.

Student DJs

We have set up a team of Student DJ in order for them to get a chance to play in our different venues in order to get experience.

We will have loads of events on (In Base, Sub Zero, on squares and around campus) so please have fun and if you have any query drop me a message on Facebook or at

Much Love your VP Services and Comms

And once again, thanks for reading
