SU Makes: Solstice Flower Crowns

20/06/2024 - 20/06/2024

noon - 3pm

The Lakes

Great vibes for this special event – Join us by the Lakes where we’ll chill under the trees and create simple but magical crowns from upcycled materials to celebrate the Summer Solstice (and get festival-ready!).

The summer solstice is a special time which marks the turn of the wheel of the year on the longest day (and the shortest night).  The solstice has been celebrated since ancient times all over the world. Famous celebrations include at Stonehenge and festivities usually include music, dancing and feasts – and flower crowns is how we celebrate here at Essex <3

No materials, tools, or experience necessary – come along and make something meaningful, make friends, make a mess, and maybe even learn a new skill!

Drop in whenever you’re ready – we’re looking forward to seeing you <3
