Mega Passes are available for incoming first year students only, and give you access to all of the week's entertainment at a discounted rate, saving you money as well as the hassle of buying separate tickets for each event.
Freshers Mega Passes are £45 and can be bought before you get here, simply sign up and log in to this website and you'll be onboard with our virtual ticketing.
*Mega pass wristbands are collected from the box office or SU reception on Square 3 on arrival.

Welcome Freshers !
Boy you are in for a treat this Freshers week ! but first here’s some housekeeping and tips for how things work here at Essex.
To buy tickets you must first register as a fresher and enter your contact details, you will then be able to buy tickets for Freshers week until you receive your essex login details when you arrive on campus, where you are given a unique reference username and password which you will login with.
We normally operate a ticket less system, but in Freshers week you must buy a ticket online, get your electronic number and then collect your wristband from the ticket office located at the SU Bar from 6pm and till latest 10.00pm. You can collect all your wristbands in one go if you like but must be careful not to lose them as they are non-refundable. ( unless you are buying a Freshers megapass which you must collect from the ticket office on arrivals day and will last you all week ).
If you wish to bring a guest with you to any event, please buy a guest ticket and make sure that they bring their photo ID to prove who they are and that they are over 18 years of age.
Each wristband will only entitle you to Sub Zero, to purchase tickets for ALL LEVEL 2 events, you must buy a ticket and bring this proof with you to the ticket office situated at the entrance of the club, Photo ID is also required for Level 2 and maybe required for all venues you enter.
You may be searched on entry as we operate periodic searches and have a zero tolerance on things such as drugs, weapons etc, please do not attempt to bring any illegal substances into the venues as you will be ejected and risk not only barring, but the Police and the Proctor of the University will be notified ad you may be ejected from University.
Please remember Megapasses are now SOLD OUT ! so please don’t ask us if we have anymore !!
Important terms & conditions:
You must be over 18 to attend this event. Photographic ID will be required on the door.
We have an electronic ticketing system (no paper tickets) to gain entry to an event you must bring photo ID.
Once you have your wristband on you must keep it on for the whole week, any wrtistbands seen to be tampered with may be refused entry.
Wristbands can be worn in the bath / shower so don't take it off ! If you break it there is no way we can issue another one.
The megapass is non-transferable.
