Shape the Direction of your SU
Elected representatives from the three campuses meet to vote on policies and shape the direction of the SU. In the past we have discussed and voted on topics like inconsistency of laundrette prices across accommodations and implementing a transparency policy. All topics brought to council are discussed and addressed.
Council also provides us with the opportunity to ask the Student Leaders questions about their ongoing plans and projects in the ‘Student Leaders Q & A session’.
SU Council is made up of:
All current students can come and observe council to find out what`s going on with the SU.

THE LOUGHTON EXECUTIVE
Members of the Loughton Executive:
- Represent all students at Loughton fairly at SU Council
- Support the East15 Loughton President in collecting student feedback and representing their voice further
- Support engagement activities/events where relevant
- Build relationships within the Loughton community
- Are a key contact for people to talk about Loughton East 15
- Encourage members to participate in all areas of the Students’ Union at Loughton
- Engage with relevant communities and act as the gateway to them
- Work as a team with other Loughton Exec members and the East15 Loughton President
We recognise that this role does not represent specific communities in the same way that the other SU Councils are structured, however as part of this way of working we would ensure that if an issue is impacting a specific community, then an individual who identifies as part of that community is co-opted into SU Council for the duration of the discussion of that issue. This structure has been put in place to reflect the needs and requirments of the Loughton campus.
There are 5 Loughton Executive roles available.
