Let’s celebrate another ancient tradition by weaving a St Brigid’s cross.
On St Brigid’s eve – 31st January - these protective charms are hung outside home, over doors and in windows to ward against fire, evil spirits, and hunger.
Traditionally made with reeds gathered locally, in the spirit af SU Makes we’ll be using recycled materials to create something a little bit unusual...
No materials, tools, or experience necessary – come along and make something meaningful, make friends, make a mess, and maybe even learn a new skill!
Drop in whenever you’re ready – we’re looking forward to seeing you <3
And remember: SU Makes runs weekly all year!
