Ready to compete without breaking a sweat? Welcome to the Lounge Olympics — a mini games event where chaos beats cardio and bragging rights are very much on the line.

Take on a series of fun, low-pressure challenges designed for small spaces, all abilities, and maximum laughs. Whether you’re here to win, support your mates, or just vibe on the sofa, this is your chance to get involved without the intensity of traditional sports.

Expect quick-fire games, friendly competition, and prizes for champions and chaos legends. No experience needed, no athletic ability required — just turn up and give it a go.

Come solo or bring a team, drop in or stay for the whole event.
Low stakes. High chaos. Ultimate lounge glory.

📍 Location: SU Lounge
⏰ Time: The Games starts prompty at 7:30 sharp!!
👥 Team Size: Up to 3 people per team (come with a team or join one on the night!)
🎁 Prizes: Olympic Medals up for grabs

💸 Cost: Free to play!

Q: Do I need to arrive at the beginning?

A: In order to participate please make sure you arrive at the start as the event will begin promplty

Q: Do I have to stay until the end?

A: It would be best to stay the whole time to get to take part in the full activity

Q: Do I need to bring money?

A: Nope! Our events in the SU Lounge are free of charge, just bring yourself!

Q: Can I come by myself?

A: Absolutely! Events are a great place to meet new people, lots of students come alone and meet people

Q: When is the last entry?

A: 7:30PM, the games will start with or without you!

Q: How do I find the location?

A: This event is taking place in SU Lounge, more information on how to find the venue can be found below!

A: Yes, there is step free access to this venue

The images/videos might be used by Essex Students’ Union or University of Essex for promotional purposes, for example on @essexsu Instagram page, essexstudent.com, on printed materials such as flyers and posters and on Essex SU emails. If you’d prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please speak to our photographer or videographer or the SU event organiser. Don’t be shy - you’re welcome to ask our photographers to take photos of you and your friends! The photos will be available on the Essex SU Flickr to view and download shortly.
