This Women’s History Month, Essex SU is hosting a women-focused ROGUE night designed to create a space where women can feel safe, confident and free to enjoy a night out together.
Inspired by similar events at other UK Students’ Unions, this night centres women’s experiences in nightlife and aims to reduce the barriers many face around safety and confidence in club spaces. It’s a chance to celebrate, connect and reclaim the dancefloor, and the night — together.
Open to ALL women!
Important Information
Under the Equality Act 2010, single-sex events are permitted where there is a legitimate aim — such as providing a space where women may reasonably seek safety, dignity and confidence in attending.

-
Reduce barriers women face in nightlife spaces
-
Support women’s safety and wellbeing
-
Celebrate Women’s History Month in a community-focused environment
As an inclusive Students’ Union venue, we cannot legally refuse entry based on gender. However, we kindly ask that all students respect the purpose of this event and the audience it is designed to support.
