Denotations are words attaching to an image proposition. Significations are the movements between propositions. Manifestations are the relations between the propositions and the person. For Deleuze, this is his system of language, and is indicative to his wider Philosophy. But what are the relations between Denotations, Significations and Manifestations? At what point is the “I”, needed to complete this system, implied within any of the terms, can it be implied? We will be reading this short chapter to try and find out.
