Start the year by connecting with students from across the Health Department and meeting your lecturers and department staff in a relaxed, welcoming space.

Enjoy free refreshments, fun icebreakers, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends, swap stories, and build your university community 🥤🥨.

Whether you’re studying nursing, social work or oral health, this event is your chance to meet the people who’ll be part of your journey.

Q: Do I need to arrive at the beginning?

A: We encourage students to arrive at the start to make sure they are involved in the activities and have time to socialise with a drink!

Q: Do I have to stay until the end?

A: Not at all! Feel free to leave whenever you need to

Q: Do I need to bring money?

A: Nope! All our Welcome social events are free of charge, just bring yourself!

Q: Will there be alcohol?

A: We will provide free hot drinks and refershments but no alcohol!

Q: Can I come by myself?

A: Absolutely! Socials are a great place to meet new people, lots of students come alone and meet people
