The 13 January is Lohri, a vibrant Punjabi harvest festival that takes place the night before Makar Sankranti, celebrating the passing of the winter solstice and the arrival of longer, brighter days. ☀️

It's mainly observed by Sikhs and Hindus in Northern India, Pakistan, and diasporic communities around the world. Festivities usually involve bonfires, folk music, dancing, and feasting.

🎉 How are we celebrating? 🎉

With a beautiful bonfire by The Lakes from 16:00-18:00 on Tuesday 12 January. Enjoy delicious traditional treats, hot drinks, cosy blankets, and a vibrant atmosphere filled with fun and community spirit.

We’re thrilled to collaborate on this event with the Indian and Hindu Societies. Everyone is welcome!
